What is the Project 2B?

Depending on your opinion (or the man in the pub...), the 2B is either,

'A capable clubmans style sports car utilising components of the Ford Sierra with an easily assembled kit of parts from Robin Hood engineering...'

or...

'A capable clubmans style sports car utilising components of the Ford Sierra with a kit of parts from Robin Hood engineering...'

As a budget kit, it makes no pretence to compete with products from Westfield or similar companies, but does offer a way of enjoying this type of car on a £3000 budget.

Using the Ford Sierra as a donor means a cheap source of spares and components are readily available (my donor was free) but does initially restrict you to 1.6/2 litre engines which the kit is designed to accept. Larger engines should fit but modification will be needed.

People are now getting their 2b's on the road and so far seem to be getting a lot out of them. Don't let anything in this website put you off buying one, the problems I've encountered were disheartening at the time but overcoming them is part of the kit car experience. At the end of the day it really does add to your pride in the finished car.

Robin Hood owners have far more interesting conversations about their builds than do most other kit-owners I am sure.

More information can be found on the Robin Hood Engineering website, details of which can be found on the links page.
